Patek Philippe 2514; square Bold cushion curved shaped watch with Bookend Lugs; Circa 1952
Introduction:
Patek Philippe 2514J; A square cushion curved shaped watch case measuring 31 x 43mm and made in 18K yellow gold. The watch is fitted with a 27 SC center sweep caliber movement # 702084, case# 674041. The dial is silvered with raised gold Arabic 12 and 6 hour markers with dagger markers in between, and Delphine hands with a minute track for the second hand. The watch was made in 1952 and sold April 27, 1953, and confirmed with an extract from the archives.
This reference is quite rare and is different in most of Patek Philippe watches.

The 2514 was introduced in 1952 and was discontinued in 1956. This oversized appearing watch is is quite dramatic due to is diagonal width. In our research there are 14 known to the market in yellow gold and 2 in rose gold. These cases were made by R. Staffelbah & U. Rotach. stamp 15.
