Cartier Paris Vendome GM watch, Reference # 817212-52. The watch is made in 18 Karat yellow gold. The watch measures 33mm, and is the large size with a 17-jewel manual wind movement. This is one of the Launch collection the Vendome (Round). It was launched in 1973 and ran in the rest of 1970's.
Essay:
The early Cartier watches were absolute Icons in the 1970's with the Tank LC being the most common and popular. The other shaped cases were very hard to get due to the amount of the tanks they produced. This example has it's original dial with "Paris at the bottom.
