Patek Philippe 130J Chronograph Watch Circa 1944
This Patek Philippe 130J vintage chronograph watch comes with a Breguet Dial. The watch is 33 mm in diameter. Made of 18 Karat Yellow gold 3-body case. The watch is with a 13 line caliber movement, #863017, and case #630670. This example is truly amazing in that it has not been polished and has very strong hallmarks. (see Pics.) The Breguet dial is factory and came that way from the factory (was born that way).
Date & Paperwork:
The watch was made in 1944, confirmed with an extract from the archives confirming its date of manufacture and further sale. On the extract it also confirms the Breguet dial. The watch further comes with its original factory Patek buckle. Additionally, the watch comes with a one year movement guarantee.
Launched in 1934, the reference 130 is powered by a heavily modified Valjoux movement, and easily recognizable due to its slightly curved, elongated lugs and thin bezel. The model was extremely successful and remained in production until 1964. Even though it was manufactured for close to 30 years, output was quite limited, resulting in a total of about 1500 pieces produced.
