Introduction;

Patek Philippe 2279J Vintage Ladies Rectangular wristwatch with very unusual Conical shape  pyramid lugs.  The watch was made in 1950's and measures 28 x 15mm.   The watch is fitted with an 7"-70 caliber 18-jewel manual wind movement # 943662 / 652704.  The watch is made in 18K yellow gold  with cream silver dial and raised gold hour markers.    The watch  comes with a black leather strap, and Vintage 18K Patek  buckle.  The watch is further accompanied with its original gold spring bar pins.  This example is in its original like new condition.

Essay:   The Patek Philippe Reference 2279, born in the mid-1950s, stands as a luminous reminder of an era when a watch was conceived less as a utilitarian instrument and more as wearable, miniature sculpture.  This is a very rare model and we have only seen two om them in the market.  The watch looks like Time Carved in Gold
