Patek Philippe 2479J Vintage Curved Domed Rectangular watch with Stepped Case, Circa 1950

Introduction:
Patek Philippe 2479J Curved Rectangular watch with Stepped case and half hooded lugs.  The watch is made in18K yellow gold and measuring 39 x 26 mm and was made in 1950,  Fitted with a 9"-90 caliber movement # 973464 case # 512117.  The watch is accompanied with a brown alligator strap.  The dial has applied gold indexes and hand with a silvered  dial.  The watch is triple signed, Dial Case and movement.  The 2479 is a massive looking watch with curved dome style.

Condition:  The overall condition is very good.  The case is in great condition with a strong hallmark on the right side at 4 o'clock, and on the back cover an 18K stamp.  The dial is original with hard enamel signature, with a few spots and great patina.  The Strap is a new, medium brown alligator with yellow buckle
Date & Paperwork: The watch was made between 1951 and 1952, with an Archive report on order.

Essay:  The watch is fitted with 9-90, rhodium finished movement with Gyromax balance, swan-neck micrometer adjustment to the regulator and fausses côtes decoration, silvered dial with applied baton markers, subsidiary seconds and baton hands, rectangular stepped case with curved glass, half-hooded lugs and snap on back, movement, dial and case signed.
