Introduction: Patek Philippe 2533J an 18K yellow gold center sweep second hand Calatrava with water resistant screw down back case. The watch was manufactured in 1955 and measures 34mm. The watch is fitted with a 27 SC caliber manual wind 18-jewel movement; # 705066, case # 690046. The dial is silver white with Radium inlayed in the hand and indexes. The case is a screw down water resistant model with strong hallmarks and case numbers on back of lugs. The watch is accompanied by an extract certificate from the archives confirming its date of manufacture and further sale
Essay: Reference 2533 was in production from 1952 until 1956. The 2533 and the reference 2532, replaced the better known reference 565. When it was launched in 1952 with a sweep seconds caliber 27 SC. Approximately 400 pieces were made in total. With approximately 300 in yellow gold.
